My name is Maria Meade and I was Born & raised in NE PA. I moved to SC in 1998 & that is where I reside today. I love my family, the weather and the seasons but most of all I love to draw and paint.
I create all sorts of Art by Design, including portraits, abstract art, urban sketching and fantasy art. You will find many different types and styles in the Art Gallery.

I am a self-taught artist who has been learning and studying on my own for as long as I can remember. I used basic "how to draw" books and progressed to more in depth and complex material as time went on.
As the internet came alive, I started taking classes online and buying "at your own pace" courses.
Finally, I created a blog and started to post some of my work online. You'll find some examples on the Art Gallery page.
My vision is basically to draw or create anything that moves me. I love using graphite and ink to do traditional portraiture as well as experimenting with all sorts of media and combinations of the same.
To be honest, I have to be inspired by the subject, whether it's a portrait or an urban sketch; whether it will hang in an Art Gallery or someone's home, I need to be "All In".
I enjoy the flow of watercolors, the feel of oils, and the hardiness of acrylics but what excites me most is knowing I can use whatever I have at my disposal to create with! There are really no limits!
